Well Talin -- it was quite a busy summmer with a big bang at the end -- we had a 5.8 earthquake August 23, 2011! It was really unbelievable to see the building shake. Everyone was safe though. But it's amazing that we have had two earthquakes in little over a year!

About two weeks later, in early September, we had so much rain that the roads around our house were flooded out. We had about 7 to 8 inches or rain in a single day, which flooded our creek across our back yard and along the side and front. Our mailbox was even under water. Mommy and daddy couldn't make it home that night and had to spend the night at a hotel and came home the next morning. You, Talin and Aeowyn stayed with Giovanna.

Talin -- you are growing up SO fast and are such a sweet, kind little boy. You just stated up the fall semester a while back and are doing so well. Your teacher talks about how you help out cleaning up and how you even nailed a stake into the ground while a teacher held it without hitting her hand. You and Rohin are in school together and love to play with each other. You guys are really into fireman sam and the two of you run around the house and save things from these little cars. The both of you have incredible conversations and coordinate on things -- its really amazing.

Personality wise, you're very caring and sweet Talin. You're always carrying things around for others, giving hugs and kisses. You're very observant about things and notice the moon or airplanes flying around. You love being outdoors and are still pretty fond of playing with water at any chance you get.

You're a great reader Talin and love to sit down on our lap and just read. You are very observant when you read and watch TV and love to guess at things when asked or repeat things. Favorite book is the "B" book and fireman sam is definitely the new favorite at the moment. Language wise -- you have an incredible vocabulary and pretty much can carry on a full conversation on anything you choose at the moment. You're very polite to others and even repeat when mommy or daddy says thank you or ma'am, etc...

Eating wise - you love to eat! It's hard to say what you like because you like everything - sometimes even spicy salsa. You love vegetables and fruits as well in a pretty big way.

We had such a wonderful summer, we're sorry to see it end already. recently, we visited grandma and grandpa at the farm one weekend. We had a great time visiting with them and rode the Gator and visited a really quaint town called Chestertown, where we walked through the farmer's market and had lunch together. You love the gator and pretty much are fixated on it the entire time we visit -- you love to say "gator" to us and really enjoy riding on our lap through the woords. On another weekend, we had a very special Indian holiday that we celebrated over at Ammuma and Thatha's house. You and Rohin ran around the house all evening and had a great time jumping off the bed and playing hide and seek.
