Well Talin -- you're almost 1 year and 2 months and changing everyday! You're walking so well now and have such a wonderful personality. You understand much of what is being said to you and we believe you are saying things like night-night, banana, and of course mama and dada. You love to jibber jabber about things and talk often to your brother Rohin. You have learned now how to hop on the toy cars and play by scooting yourself forward and backwards. You can do "high-five" when asked and love to squel for some reason at the end of the credits of cartoons! Speaking of cartoons, your favorites at the moment are Fresh Beat Band and Yo Gaba Gaba. You also seem to really like the book Six Sticks and enjoy books that are interactive -- especially the wonderpets space book. You love to be tickeled and love to be held at night time while watching TV. You also really love to play the game "slowly I step" that daddy likes to play with you and Rohin and you run down the hallway squeling -- it's really cute to watch. For some reason, you also love to touch the fireplace and pull out the floor vent because daddy tells you not too -- and then smile to see what will happen. You also have a habit of spitting out milk because we think you like the sensation.
We've had a lot going on since the last time we wrote. We had a 4th of July party at Ammuma and Thatha's lake house and daddy lit off huge fireworks! We also had a party to celebrate your Auntie Sadhana's graduation party. And then went to a puja the next day -- which you had so much fun running around the temple.
Also -- interesting enough - we had an earthquake measuring 3.7! Your mother was up that morning around 5am and came running into the bedroom to tell daddy after the house started to shake! She ran into the wooden penguin in the hallway with daddy waking up, rubbing his eyes, having slept through the whole thing. But it was certainly one of the biggest earthquakes ever in this area.
That's it for now Talin! The pictures below were from a recent visit to a children's Gym on a saturday morning. You're getting sooooo big - it really is wonderful to see. Mommy and daddy love watching you grow.
