Talin, so much has happened since our last blog post little boy! On April 21st, you took your first step! You had been practicing standing for a while but then took your first step while mommy was watching! We’re so proud of you.
You’re talking a lot these days – but still pretty much dada – tough daddy swears you said guitar when you were touching the guitar the other day. But dada sounds kind of different when you’re trying to repeat things.
So onto to funny stories since the last blog. Well, you love stink bugs. Can’t understand it – but you just don’t love them – you ate one recently. At least they’re not toxic – but they do stink! You just picked it up and down the hatch before mommy and daddy could get to you in time.
You also love dinner time games now. One of them is “round and around”, which is a game daddy uses with both of you at night time. He moves his hands in the air in big circles and says around and around until he tickles you and Rohin. You now take your hand and try to make little circles when daddy plays this game with you. You also love to laugh when mommy or daddy shake their head really fast. You picked up on this and love to shake your head no and laugh when you do it. You also love it when daddy hoists you up on his shoulders and love to pat his head and also love when he jumps up and down when you up on his shoulders.
A not so funny story – ok funny now – but not when it happened was when daddy was giving you a bath – he decided to let you play in the tub a long time because you were having so much fun… Well, you stiffened up and the next thing you know – pooh was in the tub! Well, to make a long story short – daddy made sure to shrink up bath time!!!!
You do love your feed too little Talin. You eat big meals almost every day and practically clean your plate. You seem to enjoy Rohin’s sippy cups of milk and grab them whenever he leaves on laying around – so we’re about to transition from bottles to sippy cups soon.
We also did a photo shoot for you and Rohin recently. A woman offered to take model pictures of you both wearing clothes. The pictures turned out really cute – but you weren’t too happy sitting in a one piece with no diaper in damp grass! But you loved getting to sit on the tractor with Rohin for the picture.
Also, one of your other favorite things to do is to do what Rohin does. If Rohin hits the top of the play chest, you do too. You also love to play with the same toys and you both are so cute. If separated, your big brother always asks for you – “Talin?”. We were in church last month and you were making these loud grunts, which you like to do sometimes. Daddy took you to the door of the church and over the crowd (since mommy was carrying Rohin) -- we could barely see Rohin who yells – “TALIN”! You both are great brothers to each other.
Talin, you’re growing so fast. Your first birthday is coming up soon. You mommy and daddy love you so much and it’s hard to believe that you weren’t always with us. You’re such a happy and smart little boy! Mommy is working hard on planning for your birthday party in May – we’re expecting about 70 people to come celebrate. We’re also getting ready for your baby sister to be born soon!
